Ingredients: Five (5) pounds of ground chuck. (I personally use one half venison and one half ground chuck.)
One large onion minced fine.

Two (2) 2 and one half ounce bottles of Mexene Chilli Powder. (Can substitute any good quality chilli powder)

Three tablespoons of garlic powder.

Two (2) quarts of tomatoes ( or 5 - 14 and a half ounce cans)

Salt

Mix ground beef and minced onions and cook until done in a skillet (preferably in a iron skillet)
It will take several batches to get it all cooked. Put cooked ground beef in large pot along with the garlic powder, tomatoes, chilli powder, and salt. Cook on a slow heat for about four hours. Stir occasionally so that it doesn't stick and burn.

I mix one of the bottles of Chilli Powder at the beginning and about half way through the process I season to taste with the other bottle. Some like it hot and some like it a little more mild,

The secret is to cook slow and long This is for Chilli Con Carne not Chilli Con Carne with Frijoles. If you want beans then use the mexican beans. I never do
