WildEarth.TV FAQ

Is it "free" to watch the LIVE WildEarth streams on the Internet?

WildEarth.tv is available FREE to all who would derive pleasure from its viewing. The live safaris, waterhole cams, nests and all other channels are completley free to view. There is no subscription required and no hidden costs. In order to pay for the ever expanding cost of bandwidth distribution, there is advertising in the form of overlay ads served along the bottom of the video.

Do the Presenters carry guns?

No, the presenters do not carry guns. Many of the guides in the Sabi Sands have a rifle with them on the safari vehicle. Almost all carry a rifle when they go on a bush walk. WildEarth has decided not to carry rifles as WE do not think that it is necessary, nor do we wish to create the wrong impression with our viewers.

Can Viewers send Gifts and/or Birthday & Holiday Cards to the WE Team?

Many people have offered to post us gifts. Unfortunately when this has occurred it costs the individual quite a lot of money to pay the import duty on the gift. WE don’t earn that much and cannot afford to pay the duty on gifts. The best way to get a gift to one of your favorite WE crew is to send it to somebody that is traveling to the location and they can physically hand it to them.

Are you in danger while sitting in an open vehicle with some of the more dangerous animals?

WE know to respect the animals when we are in their environment. If we get too close, the animal will give us an indication that they are not comfortable with our presence, and we then will allow them more space or move off. As long as we respect these animals and their space, we can go about the game drives in a safe and orderly fashion without fear of the animal becoming aggressive.

Please send questions that you think should be included in the faq to faq@wildearth.tv and WE will consider it for inclusion here. Please try to propose questions that are not answered elsewhere on the site.
