Karula (Shangaan for peaceful) is a female leopard born in March 2004. She lives in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve with the majority of her territory in the Djuma Game Reserve.

She is the daughter of Safari and is currently raising her second litter of cubs Mixo - Shangaan for dawn and Induna - Shangaan for chief).

Her first litter was raised successfully, the result being two female leopards Saseka (Shangaan word for beautiful) and Tingana (meaning shy).

Karula can be identified by facial spot markings, in particular the characteristic "WoW" on her forehead. Yet, she is also recognisable by her gentle peaceful manner and relaxed attitude towards game drive and live filming vehicles.
