Questions and answers

If you are not able to get in to any of the WildEarth Chatrooms or Cam Streams, please read through the following suggestions that will solve the majority of the problems.

 

Chat logon:

Q: I can no longer log on with my Facebook Connect option. Why is this?

A: Unfortunately there is still an issue with our Facebook Connect. We are working on this, but it is taking longer than we had hoped.. Until it is fixed the manual/aternate option needs to be used.

 

Q: I forgot my password?. Can you reset it?

A: As passwords are not accessible to anyone but you we cannot tell you your password. We would need to delete your account, so you can reregister with the same e-mail address. If you would like us to do this, please send a request to webmaster@wildearth.tv from the e-mail associated with the account you would like to have deleted. In that e-mail please also include your full name and chat nick name so we can verify your account before deleting it.

 

Q: I registered but did not receive an activation link. What happened?

A: Please check your spam or junk mail folder, in most cases that's where you will find it. If it is not there either, let us know at webmaster@wildearth.tv and we will manually activate your account for you

 

Viewing video streams:

Q: The advertisement loads, but after that no stream appear and I see a message stating 'NetStream.Play.UnpublishNotify'. What is wrong?

A: This means the feed is not arriving at our servers. In most cases there is a problem at the camera location (e.g. power outage). There is nothing wrong on your side.

 

Q: When I click play I get a black screen with a message stating 'Loading Advert...' but nothing loads. Why is that?

A: This is most likely caused by ad-blocking software in your browser. Please make sure there are no ad-blockers or banner ad-blockers active. As advertising is how we pay for streaming the video we can only let you watch if you also watch the ads.

 

Q: I've tried all of the above, but still cannot watch. What else can I do?

A: Make sure you have the latest version of the browser you are using and of the Flash Player plug-in installed. If that still does not help try a different browser. As there a so many different combinations of browsers, operating systems, it's virtually impossible to describe solutions for each individual set-up. If the above options do not work, often using another browser helps as it might be a specific setting in the one you use. There are many to chose from (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc). All are safe to run and more than one can run at the same time. It is also a good practice to clear your browser's cache/temporary internet files and history folder often to avoid using outdated info.
