The Safari Channel in Africa operates on Central African Time (CAT) and generally does two main safaris per day. The AM:safari departs at 05h30 in summer (remember that the southern hemisphere has the opposite season to the north) and 06h30 in winter. The PM:safari departs at 16h00 in summer and 15h30 in winter. Both safaris last for 3 hours. Three times per week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) there is a 2 hour night safari (conducted in Infra Red, which results in black and white video but disturbs the animals less) that departs at 19h30 (summer) and 18h30 (winter). On Wednesday nights Rexon Ntimane hosts a chat show called 'Walala Wasala' (you snooze you loose). On Friday nights Pieter Pretorius hosts a Fire Side Chat with a local guest, and on Sunday nights there is a Fire Side Chat which looks at the weeks events.
